Student Organizations

Judson Student Organization

The Judson Student Organization (JSO) is a campus organization that serves the traditional undergraduate student body. The executive committee of JSO is made up of the Student Body President, Vice President of Social Activities, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, and Vice President of Student Advocacy. The main branches of JSO involve student government operations and student activities. International students and commuter students also serve as voting members of JSO to help represent the needs and concerns of the student body.

The basic purpose of JSO is to assist in the full development of the students of Judson University by promoting fellowship and campus activities, encouraging high academic and moral standards and fostering a distinctively Christian university community. JSO takes care to operate in accordance with procedures, rules, and regulations set forth in the JSO Constitution, student leader standards, the student handbook and other university documents, as well as the Holy Bible.

University Ministries

University Ministries (UM) is an organization that exists to “make plain the whole gospel to the whole person for the good of the whole world.”

We accomplish this through our chapel, small group, and Global Outreach programming. Each of these areas train and equip student leaders to carry out the work of the ministry. UM works alongside JSO, Production student employees, and staff and faculty who participate in small groups.

Cross-Cultural Experiences

Students are strongly encouraged to participate in cross-cultural experiences to develop multicultural awareness. These include working cross-culturally in a local church and service clubs, Bible schools, tutoring, overseas missions, Native American missions, or inner-city programs. Some of these can be taken for credit.
