Overall Requirements for Graduation
Division of Professional Studies
Associate of Arts
- At least 60 credit hours are required for graduation.
- All students must meet Judson's 30 hour residency requirement (at least 20 of the last 30 hours must be in residency).
- Minimum cumulative and major GPAs of 2.0 are required for graduation.
- To be eligible for academic honors at Commencement, a student must complete 45 or more graded earned honors at Judson University and have a minimum summary GPA of 3.50.
Bachelor of Arts
- At least 120 credit hours are required for graduation.
- Students must successfully complete all major program courses at Judson; no major courses may be exempted or taken at another institution.
- All students must meet Judson's 30 hour residency requirement (at least 20 of last 30 hours completed must be in residency).
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required.
- A minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher in major program courses is required.
- To be eligible for academic honors at Commencement, a student must complete 60 or more graded earned honors at Judson University and have a minimum summary GPA of 3.50.
- A maximum of 30 hours of alternative credit may be accepted and can apply toward general education or elective requirements.
- A maximum of 8 hours in physical education activity courses may be applied toward graduation requirements. All activity courses may be repeated once for additional credit.1
- A maximum of 8 hours (24 hours for music majors) of applied music may be counted toward graduation requirements.1

Non-Traditional General Education Requirements, With Degree
Students who have completed an Associate/Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution or who have graduated from Judson's Associate of Arts program must complete LDB301 Academic and Interpersonal Effectiveness (3 c.h.), but will not need to complete any additional general education courses.
