RISE Internship (RTY)

RTY030 Third-Year Internship (8 course hours)

During the duration of this course, students will participate in an on-campus internship for up to 12 hours each week. Students will work with the RISE Up Life Coach to identify an internship experience related to their subject area concentration and/or current interests. Student s will gain on the job training and be equipped to think critically in the professional environment and troubleshoot workplace problems. Prerequisites: RISE Program graduate

RTY040 Fourth-Year Internship (12 course hours)

During the duration of this course, students will participate in on campus and off campus paid internships for up to 35 hours each week. Students will work with the RISE Up Life Coach to identify an internship experience related to their subject area concentration and/or current interests. Student s will gain on the job training and be equipped to think critically in the professional environment and troubleshoot workplace problems.

Course is designed for RISE certificate program graduates, and only applicable to students admitted into the RISE UP! program who have successfully completed the third year
