Community Music Certificate

Certificate programs in music are designed for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in music or the international equivalent. These are non-degree programs; students do not earn a formal award from Judson University. Rather, students are prepared to go into graduate studies in music.

The Community Music Certificate at Judson University is designed for individuals who desire to deepen their knowledge and skills in the community music field and develop their performance and group teaching skills.

Important Notes

• This is a non-degree program; students do not earn a formal award from Judson University. Rather, students are prepared to go into graduate studies in music.
• Prospective certificate students are expected to have an undergraduate degree or the international equivalent. In the absence of a degree, a candidate must demonstrate advanced performance skills and/or extensive teaching experience at the level generally expected of an applicant for graduate study in music performance.
• International students are required to submit a TOEFL score to be admitted to the program. The minimum score is TOEFL IBT 61. The Music Department may choose to admit applicants whose TOEFL scores are below the required score. In such cases, additional English requirements may apply.
