Doctor of Education in Computer Science Admissions

The Doctor of Education programs at Judson University graduates exemplary leaders who are prepared to make substantial contributions to the literacy profession as writers, speakers, teachers, and researchers. The mission of the Doctor of Education in Computer Science (DCS) program at Judson University is to graduate exemplary leaders prepared to make substantial contributions to the Computer Science field as practitioners, researchers, and thought-leaders. This doctoral program is designed for those who want to contribute to their profession as Computer Science strategists, educators, academic administrators, training and development professionals, and presenters of professional development in the Computer Science world.

Policy

Admission into the Doctor of Education in Computer Science program at Judson University requires:

• Completed online application
• Application fee of $100 (non-refundable), to be paid by going to Checkout and Payment, which can be accessed in the left hand menu of the online application
• Updated CV/Resume
• Signed copy of the Attendance and Grading Policy (this is part of the application)
• Official transcript(s) of all masters work; a 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is preferred
• Typewritten, double-spaced essay (not to exceed 750 words) responding to the question "In looking at the objectives of this doctoral program, how do you hope this degree will impact your life, both personally and professionally?"
• Written recommendation from a professor or academic advisor in a .pdf file

All documents, and questions regarding application status, should be sent to dcs@judsonu.edu.

Procedure

Once all documents have been submitted to Judson University, the file will be reviewed by the Program Director and admitted students will be notified of their acceptance. At this point, it is the responsibility of the student to schedule a meeting with their Academic Advisor to discuss registration.
